Join acclaimed portraitist Kelly Oakes for a three-day workshop retreat where you will learn the techniques that the masters have used for centuries. Working from a photograph, you will learn the principles of portrait painting in the classical tradition.
This workshop will help develop your ability to achieve a likeness, understand the light on the subject, mix realistic complexions/ skin tones and create a three-dimensional illusion. Kelly will demonstrate in class and offer personal critiques. Her clear approach provides an opportunity for artists of all levels to benefit from her twenty-five years of professional experience.
